Billy Ahlswede has worked professionally as a game artist for more than seven years with a focus on character art. He began messing around with 3D Studio
DOS 4 as a teenager, which forever changed his life. His high school years were spent learning anything he could about 3D modeling and making games. Thirteen years later he is still doing what he loves and is thankful for it every day.
Billy comes to 38 Studios from Sony Online Entertainment, where he contributed his talents to Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom for PS3. Before that he worked at Sony Computer Entertainment America on the first NBA PSP series, as well as the PS2 and PS3 versions for ‘06 and ‘07, for a total of four NBA titles. He began his game industry career at BreakAway Games, where he worked on such well known and successful products as Sid Meier’s Civilization III: Conquests, Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom, Austerlitz: Napoleon’s Greatest Victory, Waterloo: Napoleon’s Last Battle, and Cleopatra.
