38 Studios is proud to announce our sponsorship of Unearthly Challenge, the new environmental art competition brought to you by the makers of the character-driven Dominance War series. Two members of our team will serve on the contest's main judging panel, plus we are offering up a prestigious "38 Studios Award," offering $900 to an eye-catching entry of our own choosing.

In Unearthly Challenge, game artists from around the globe compete for thousands of dollars worth of prizes while representing one of two camps. Polycount's entries will consist of "worlds and locales based on fear, horror, darkness, void, death, torture, corrupt morals, and bad intentions." While those representing Game Artisans shall create "Worlds and locales based on light, order, justice, mercy, color, fun, might, ancient, magical, lasting, heaven, valor and good intentions."

Entries can be in either 2D or 3D, and must follow a detailed set of guidelines. If you're an aspiring environmental artist, enter away! Or if you just want to see who wins, the contest ends on Monday, October 27th. Best of luck to all!
