Beckett Massive Online Gamer, a leading publication about MMORPGs produced by Beckett Media, has just published their November/December 2009 issue. The feature article celebrates the best and brightest women in MMOG development today. 38’s Irena Pereira made the cut!

Irena has over 10 years of experience in UI development, five of which have been spent in the games industry. Before coming to 38, Irena worked for Artifact Entertainment and Verant Interactive, designing interfaces for games such as EverQuest and Horizons: Istaria. Most recently, Irena was a UI designer for Blizzard’s World of Warcraft. Irena has played a huge role in influencing current MMOG UI design, and is now leading the UI team for 38’s in-development MMOG.

The women honored on Beckett’s Top 10 list were selected through polls of industry veterans, the IGDA’s Women in Games SIG, and MOG readers. To read Beckett’s full press release, click here.
