38 Studios was founded in 2006 by Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling, with the mission to be the undisputed leader in online entertainment. Period. From the beginning, we’ve believed that simply presenting an innovative and industry-changing experience wasn't going to be enough for us. We believe that the means of delivery for this unmatched experience is equally important.
With all this in mind, we recognize that no detail of excellence is too small: how we care for our people and their families; how we build unquestionable quality and fun into our products; how we continue to cultivate an environment of exceptional talent and achievement, and how we show appreciation to our customers.
38 Studios is hard at work pioneering the next evolution, or revolution if you will, of the MMOG - an online entertainment experience revealing an epic story through unparalleled player interaction within a truly evolving fantasy world - an unprecedented demonstration of collective cause and consequence in an MMOG. The visual and literary direction of our original intellectual property has an incredibly strong base, building on the styles and integral contributions of 38 Studios' creative visionaries, world-renowned artist Todd McFarlane and New York Times bestselling fantasy author R.A. Salvatore.
It's often been said that our core group of amazing talent has given us an unfair advantage in this pursuit of excellence - we completely agree.
