About 38 Studios

38 Studios
Located in Maynard, Massachusetts, 38 Studios produces videogames, as well as a broad range of entertainment products.

Founded by Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling in late 2006, 38 Studios has assembled a team of world-class creative talent to bring to life an epic new intellectual property to redefine conventional multi-player gaming as it exists today, and nothing less.

38 Studios’ first products will feature the artistic vision of world-renowned comic book and toy creator Todd McFarlane (www.spawn.com) and best-selling fantasy author R. A. Salvatore (www.rasalvatore.com). To bring this epic world to life, 38 Studios employs skilled and dedicated artists, programmers, designers, writers, and others drawn from the world’s most successful game and entertainment companies, all of whom join 38 Studios with the common goal of creating a most unique entertainment company.

38 Studios is building on the foundation of that initial vision under the company slogan: “How cool would it be if . . .” The team is challenged with not only creating an innovative and immersive intellectual property, but also with creating a game development company that breaks all molds.

“Publishing great games has more to do with the people you have onboard than it does with the cash and ideas you bring to the table. With that in mind, I conceived a plan years ago in which I envisioned a ‘dream team’ of talent,” says founder Curt Schilling.

“38 Studios is more than just a company or even a team of co-workers -- it’s a family,” continues Schilling. “The great thing about our approach is that we each understand what we bring to the table. We have begun to assemble a team of the smartest, brightest, and most creative design people in the world, made up of both veterans and newcomers to the industry.”

“Our character and commitment will be tangible in every facet of the company, from art, design, audio, and programming to the appreciation we show to our customers.”
